Practice Philosophy

Dr Gershengoren is a board-certified Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist and Psychopharmacologist specializing in a wide range of conditions with a personalized, collaborative, and empathic approach. She will typically incorporate psychotherapy, medications, or both, in treatment planning depending on individual needs and preferences.  

Initial evaluations typically consist of a thorough assessment of biological, psychological and social factors contributing to current symptoms and difficulties. Dr Gershengoren's treatment recommendations are thoughtful and tailored to each individual's specific needs. 

Virtual Visits

Virtual Visits (telepsychiatry) are held via Vsee which is a secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual platform. Prior to your appointment, Dr Gershengoren will email you a link for your virtual appointment. 

As an alternative, FaceTime and Zoom can also be used, although they are not secure platforms.

Initial Consultation 60 minutes scheduled after the free telephone consult

Follow-up Appointments 30-45 minutes

Payment

Dr Gershengoren does not participate in any private insurance panels and although she is a Medicare provider, Dr Gershengoren is not currently accepting new Medicare patients.

Many patients do have out-of-network benefits and you will be provided with a bill at the end of each session with the data and codes that are typically required for out-of-network claims. Please contact your insurance company prior to your visit to verify what type of benefits you do have.  

Payment is due in full the date the service is rendered and is accepted by Credit Card or Zelle.

Also please note that per the rules of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Dr Gershengoren cannot accept veterans as patients in her private practice, given concurrent work at the VA Medical Center.
